We strive to bring awareness of the status of Muslims and minorities in India with the intention of one day alleviating poverty. The donations we raise from individuals throughout the United States and United Kingdom, fund our charitable projects in India and help us meet our objectives.
When you donate to IMRC, you are supporting a network of more than 100 organizations in India which range from providing services in education, social welfare institutions to medical clinics, emergency relief and much more.
Indian Muslim Relief & Charities (IMRC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which began in 1981. We are located at 849 Independence Ave. Suite A, Mountain View, CA 94043. We work year round to assess the needs of Muslims and minorities in poverty struck areas of India and develop projects based on their needs. We have a dedicated team, visionary leaders and over 100 organizations on site in India to improve social structures and economic opportunities so minorities & Muslims in India can have the opportunity to reach their full potential, contribute to society, have a voice in decisions that affect them and live and work in dignity.
Manzoor Ghori
Founder & Executive Director
Manzoor Ghori founded IMRC in 1981 to provide meaningful support to India’s underserved communities through education, relief, and sustainable development. With over four decades of leadership, he has shaped IMRC into one of the most trusted American Muslim nonprofits working in India today. His leadership continues to guide IMRC’s work—focused on transparency, dignity, and real, lasting impact.
Maqsood Quadri is a Senior Environmental Manager, geologist and hydrogeologist. He serves as President of IMRC and Downtown Islamic Center Chicago. He has been in community service for last 30 years. He helped establish a multispecialty hospital and is currently working on establishing a university through IMRC in India.
Javed Sikander is an American Muslim of Indian origin living in Seattle, Washington. He has been involved in various social initiatives and humanitarian work for the past 20 years.
Nusrat Deen is the founding member, President and CEO at multiple research sites including Apex Medical Research, with a background in accounting and SAP systems management. She has successfully led six diverse healthcare services organizations. She have been a long time volunteer of IMRC, including the India Health Initiative.
Omair Farooqui is a California-based attorney, licensed in California and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He has extensive experience advising nonprofit organizations on governance, fiduciary duties, financial best practices, and litigation. Originally from Hyderabad, India, he grew up in Houston and Los Angeles and now lives in Palo Alto.
Abdul Rauf Patel is from Surat, Gujarat, India. He is a semiconductor process engineer. He was directly responsible for the solar cell for Pathfinder that was sent to Mars by NASA. He also is a board member of Muslim Mortuary & Cemetery Committee (MMCC) in Southern California.
Altaf Ghori works in Business Development and has over 15 years of experience focusing on software and data for the Financial Services Industry. He also serves on IMRC’s Investment Committee.
Homaira Naseem holds a Master’s in Organic Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University and has 35 years of experience as a Research and Development Engineer, with four patents to her name. She served as a National Delegate for Bernie Sanders from Massachusetts in 2016 and is a past president and founding member of IMRC.
