Assam flood toll now rises to 44

Relief camps for flood victims are set up along the National Highway No 37 in the flood affected Balbala village in Goalpara district of Assam.

GUWAHATI, Assam

As of Thursday, October 2nd, the flood situation in Assam still remains serious. There was report of one more death, with a total of 44 so far. Still 400,000 remain affected in the state.

According to the daily flood report by Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), one body was recovered in Morigaon district.

IMRC has received the request for relief assistance through a local organization which is onsite in Assam. Your help will provide immediate assistance for these victims in dire need!
